Responsibilities
Lead advanced transportation and roadway design projects, primarily for DOT and public agencies
Serve as the technical authority on roadway geometry, drainage, utilities, and design standards
Review, approve, and stamp final plan sets while ensuring QA/QC excellence
Mentor and guide engineers, PEs, EITs, and designers across multiple project teams
Support project pursuits, interviews, feasibility studies, and due diligence efforts
Develop and refine technical standards, workflows, and best practices
Prepare and review technical documentation including hydraulic reports, utility reports, and engineering memorandums
Represent the firm in client meetings, agency coordination, and public forums
Stay ahead of emerging roadway technologies, tools, and design methodologies
Qualification
Required
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
12–15 years of transportation and/or roadway design experience
Strong proficiency with Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, Bluebeam, and pipe network tools
Proven ability to independently manage projects under $200K
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable serving as a technical expert or advisor on complex projects
