Responsibilities

Own key corporate accounting areas, including expense accruals, equity compensation, debt, and other complex balance sheet and P&L accounts
Manage the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives to enhance scalability, accuracy, and close efficiency
Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting, including SOX compliance, control design, documentation, and remediation of deficiencies
Serve as a primary point of contact for external and internal auditors
Lead and develop a team of corporate accounting professionals, providing oversight, coaching, and performance management across close and reporting activities

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA required
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in a public company and/or Big 4 environment
Strong expertise in expense accounting and accruals, including complex estimate, allocations, and judgmental reserves
Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP with the ability to research and apply technical accounting guidance to complex transactions
Proven people leader with experience managing and developing accounting teams through monthly and quarterly close cycles
Track record of process improvement and scalability, including close optimization and system enhancements
Excellent communication and judgement, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to non-accounting stakeholders
