Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the trading desk to identify opportunities where data science tools can deliver value
Research and apply open-source deep learning and machine learning weather models to the real world, solving high-impact problems in power & gas trading
Clearly and effectively communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Work on projects relevant to the desk

Qualification

Required

Master's or pursuing a PhD in a quantitative or hard science discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences)
Proven experience with deep learning and machine learning, particularly in developing or applying open-source weather models
Proficiency in Python coding skills; SQL and Excel knowledge is a plus
Business-level English proficiency
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
High attention to detail and confidence working with large datasets
A strong interest in commodities markets and weather research
Demonstrable experience in time-series data analysis

Preferred

Previous exposure to commodities or trading environments is advantageous
