Mid LevelNextGen is a Kelly Telecom Company looking for a hands-on, multi-talented Infrastructure Engineer to manage and scale their complex, distributed infrastructure. The role involves day-to-day operations, configuration, and proactive maintenance of critical technology infrastructure, requiring strong Linux and networking expertise.

Responsibilities
Administer, harden, and expertly troubleshoot Linux servers and distributed environments, leveraging strong Linux expertise
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-vendor network gear, primarily including Juniper, Arista, and Cisco devices
Support and optimize large-scale network operations with a strong emphasis on routing and switching functionality
Perform hands-on deployment, configuration, and maintenance of server and network hardware in a multi-vendor setting
Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and stability concerns across virtualized and distributed systems
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide rapid response and resolution for critical infrastructure incidents and escalations
Create and maintain clear operational procedures, incident reports, and system documentation, coordinating hardware lifecycle management as necessary
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience in Linux administration
Deep, demonstrable background in enterprise-grade networking
Experience with complex troubleshooting across diverse vendor environments
Expert-level proficiency in managing, securing, and troubleshooting high-availability Linux systems
Solid proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting networking principles and hardware from leading vendors (Juniper, Arista, Cisco)
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including Layer 2/3 and protocol-level problems
Preferred
Proficiency in scripting or automation languages to streamline operational tasks
