Intermediate Avionics Technician

Tom Wood Aviation is seeking an Intermediate Avionics Technician to join their team at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex avionics issues while ensuring compliance with federal aviation regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair more complex avionics issues
Install, calibrate, and configure advanced avionics equipment, including communication, navigations, and flight control systems
Perform software updates and system modifications as required
Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to perform maintenance tasks
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company standards, and aircraft maintenance programs
Mentor and provide guidance to Level 1 technicians, promoting skill development

Qualification

Avionics maintenanceTroubleshooting avionics systemsDiagnostic skillsProblem-solving skillsCommunication skills

Required

2-5 years of experience in aircraft avionics maintenance
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex avionics systems independently
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
MUST HAVE-Valid driver's license with clean driving record
