Substation Engineer

They are seeking multiple Electrical Project Engineers with high-voltage substation experience to lead or support projects, develop design deliverables, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead or support high-voltage substation projects (up to 765kV) in detailed engineering and EPC environments
Develop Protection & Control and/or Physical Substation Design deliverables (layouts, schematics, grounding, relay panels, AC/DC systems, etc.)
Serve as a technical specialist or project lead, coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Perform and oversee QA/QC reviews of engineering packages
Mentor junior engineers and help grow project execution teams
Support proposals, client pursuits, budgeting, and scheduling
Participate in site visits, design reviews, and construction coordination as needed

Required

8+ years of electrical engineering experience
Strong experience in HV substation design (Physical and/or Protection & Controls)
Project leadership experience with utility or large infrastructure clients
Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams
Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office

Preferred

PE license preferred
