Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications and services
Build and support data platforms, data pipelines, or ML-enabled backend systems
Develop high-performance APIs and microservices supporting data-intensive workloads
Collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, and platform teams to enable analytics and ML use cases
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design decisions
Ensure best practices around security, data handling, and system resilience
Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Java (Core Java, Java 8+)
Experience with Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Machine Learning–related systems
Solid understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture
Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
Strong knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience working in large-scale, consumer-facing or product-driven engineering environments
Exposure to ML pipelines, analytics platforms, or big data ecosystems
Experience with technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or similar
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
