Responsibilities
Install, configure, monitor, and resolve issues for network switches, routers, and wireless
Monitor WAN connections; conduct tests and reconfigure as needed
Maintain network node database; collaborate with users on needs
First-level Cisco VOIP/phone support; cabling installs
Stay ahead of tech trends and suggest improvements
Qualification
Required
2 years college/tech school in info systems/networking (or equivalent hands-on experience)
2+ years installing/repairing LAN/WAN gear (routers, switches, cabling, physical layer troubleshooting)
Experience with Hewlett Packard Network Switches
Must-Have Knowledge: LAN/WAN protocols, TCP/IP, VLANs, Cisco IOS/Nexus CLI, router/switch management
Preferred
Microsoft OS (up to Windows Server 2012/Windows 7), Exchange 2013, Office Suite
Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/Netscalers
Next-Gen Firewalls, Firepower, proxy/VPN/spam servers
