Responsibilities
Proactively validated assumptions using debugging, telemetry, monitoring, and automated tests to prevent production issues. Reviewed feature and test code for quality, coverage, security, and maintainability; coached peers to raise engineering standards
Evaluated and provided feedback on architectural proposals, exploring design tradeoffs with minimal oversight. Collaborated with architects and contributed to solution architecture for complex features
Contributed to automation for deployment and production workflows aimed at zero‑touch operations, , applying secure coding practices
Broke down work items, estimated effort, and executed plans while ensuring security, privacy, and compliance requirements
Operated live‑site services using least‑privilege principles, rapidly mitigating incidents during on‑call rotations
Collaborated with Program Managers, security/privacy Subject Matter Experts, and technical leads to define customer and user requirements
Applied AI tools responsibly across the SDLC(Software Development Life cycle),validating and reviewing all AI(Artificial Intelligence)‑generated code artifacts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
1+ years experience in distributed systems and cloud industry
