Responsibilities

Reporting to work at the designated start time, all projects are time sensitive
Evaluating traffic patterns to determine the best control needs
Working and communicating with crew members so that they understand which traffic control setup needs to be done and that all members understand their individual role to eliminate confusion and ensure job is done safely, properly, and efficiently
Implementing traffic control through the use of signs, cones, and other traffic control devices
Maintaining a safe environment for pedestrians and vehicles
Coordinating traffic flow in construction areas
Communicating with clients and ensuring all paper work is completed on-site
Assist with the ongoing work at the jobsite when necessary
Properly follow all company policies and ensure team members are also complying
Checking that all TMA’s are loaded with the proper traffic control devices needed for that job before leaving for the jobsite
Ensuring all TMA’s and Arrow boards are working properly at the beginning and end of each shift
Reporting any vehicle maintenance or repair along with filling out all proper forms
Filling out detailed daily timesheets, along with vehicle and radio log books
Ensuring team members return all equipment and vehicle pouches at the end of each shift, and that all their paperwork is completed
Ensuring team members have all personal protection gear needed before leaving for job site
Perform other work related duties as assigned, including shop work which may include general maintenance and inventory

Required

Experience in traffic control or related field
Ability to evaluate traffic patterns
Strong communication skills to work with crew members and clients
Knowledge of traffic control devices such as signs and cones
Ability to maintain a safe environment for pedestrians and vehicles
Leadership skills to coordinate traffic flow and manage a team
Ability to complete paperwork accurately and efficiently
Willingness to assist with ongoing work at the jobsite when necessary
Compliance with company policies and ensuring team members do the same
Ability to check and ensure all traffic control devices are functioning properly
Ability to report vehicle maintenance or repairs and fill out proper forms
Ability to fill out detailed daily timesheets and logs
Ability to ensure team members return equipment and complete paperwork
Ability to ensure team members have personal protection gear before leaving for job site
Willingness to perform other work-related duties as assigned
