Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Engineer

Responsibilities
Support and carry out non-destructive testing, evaluation, and reporting as it relates to transportation infrastructure
Assist in other areas of work, especially assisting on Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE)
Conduct site reconnaissance visits and performing NDT testing
Evaluate the existing condition of pavements
Locate subsurface utilities
Analyze conventional and NDT test data (e.g., analysis of GPR data, LCMS and back calculation of FWD data, etc.)
Prepare proposals and compiling cost estimates; invoices
Prepare technically and grammatically sound project reports
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in NDT fields or 3 plus years of experience in field related to civil structural and infrastructure evaluation such as materials testing
Familiarity in geophysical testing and analysis methods, including EMI and GPR is needed
Knowledge of AutoCAD and GPR software (e.g., IDS-IQ Maps) is needed
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred
Familiarity with CI/ASCE 38-22 standards and technical utility investigation is a plus
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., MATLAB or Python) is preferred
