The Senior Cloud Data Architect will lead the design and delivery of the enterprise data and analytics platform, focusing on architecting a cloud data warehouse and lakehouse, and aligning data architecture with business needs.

Responsibilities

Architecting a cloud data warehouse and lakehouse to support large-scale transactional and operational data
Designing integration strategies to blend an existing data warehouse with modern cloud platforms
Defining and implementing a reference architecture using Databricks Delta Lake
Leading data modeling and semantic layer design to enable unified reporting across Tableau, Power BI, and SAP Analytics Cloud
Overseeing ingestion pipelines, data transformations, and performance optimization
Supporting data warehouse migration, conversion, and modernization efforts
Partnering with stakeholders across IT, analytics, and SAP teams to align data architecture with business needs

Required

7+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud data architecture
Proven experience standing up and modernizing data warehouses
Hands-on experience blending, migrating, or converting data warehouses
Strong data modeling and SQL expertise
Experience with Databricks
Cloud experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP

Preferred

SAP experience highly preferred, especially SAP S/4; SAP ECC experience will also be considered
Consulting or transformation experience across multiple environments is a plus
