Interim Paralegal

Major, Lindsey & Africa is seeking an Interim Paralegal for their Midtown, Atlanta based client. This role involves providing specialized operational, technical, administrative, and practice support to the Legal Department, including document management and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

Manage electronic contract workflow, including drafting, proofreading, editing, and finalizing legal documents; create and maintain contract/vendor profiles and filing systems
Organize project-related communications, coordinate with departments, and assemble information into reports and filings as needed
Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly regulatory reports and statements; coordinate 8-K filings in partnership with the Treasury department
Assist attorneys with various legal and compliance projects, including compliance training tracking and annual program administration
Monitor federal regulatory updates, manage department calendars and legal notices, maintain databases and legal matter tracking systems, and conduct legal research
Perform the following administrative duties: Order supplies; distribute mail; coordinate, plan and schedule travel arrangements and submit expense reimbursements through the Bank’s electronic expense management system; and schedule meetings, procure conference room space, greet visitors, and prepare catering requests

Required

Paralegal certificate and Bachelor's Degree
Attentive to detail, the ability to work independently, solve problems proactively and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to produce a quality work product given ever-changing time constraints
Ability to track against a deadline to ensure deadline is met and communicate promptly if deadline cannot be met
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills, including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and document management systems
3+ Years Experience working as a legal coordinator or paralegal at a law firm or In-House legal team
Excellent writing and email drafting skills
Microsoft Office Experience

Preferred

Excellent legal and business research skills desired
