Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive database and server administration, configuration, and maintenance
Install, configure, and manage database servers, virtual servers, and various systems
Ensure the optimal performance, integrity, and security of all managed systems
Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of IT infrastructure initiatives
Server implementation
OS install and upgrades
Application install and upgrades
Test system refresh
Disaster recovery
System break fix
Script automation

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience
Proficient knowledge of SQL
Demonstrated experience and competency with enterprise databases, specifically Oracle and/or MSSQL databases
Experience administering both Linux and Windows Server environments
Strong analytical and advanced problem-solving skills

Preferred

Experience with Virtual Server Environments
Knowledge of NAS/SAN Storage Environments
Proficiency in Linux/Windows Shell scripting
Familiarity with Sybase or PostGres database systems
Experience implementing and managing Disaster Recovery / High Availability solutions
Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL
Fundamental understanding of WAN/LAN networking concepts
