Responsibilities
Advanced Board Bring-up: Lead the initial bring-up of new prototypes. This involves configuring the PMIC (Power Management IC), initializing DDR4/5 memory, and debugging timing issues using JTAG, logic analyzers, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes
Bootloader Optimization: Develop and maintain custom U-Boot or Coreboot implementations. Optimize boot times for "Instant-On" requirements, ensuring the energy controller can respond to grid fluctuations within milliseconds of a power event
High-Performance Driver Development: Write and tune Linux kernel drivers for low-latency peripherals, including high-speed ADCs (Analog-to-Digital Converters), FPGA-backed data buses (PCIe/AXI), and industrial communication controllers (CAN-FD, TSN-Ethernet)
Device Tree Management: Architect complex Device Trees for multi-core ARM and x86 SoCs, ensuring hardware resources are correctly mapped and managed across different product variants
Hardware-Software Co-Design: Collaborate with Electrical Engineers during the schematic design phase to ensure that pin-multiplexing and hardware interrupts are optimized for Linux kernel performance
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in low-level C programming and Linux Kernel development
Proficiency in reading Electrical Schematics and navigating Datasheets/Register Maps
Extensive experience with PTP (Precision Time Protocol) or other high-accuracy synchronization methods used in industrial automation
