Responsibilities

Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc., and present analysis
Provide monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet analysis for management reporting
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Partner with PEO to manage the execution of Payroll activities
Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet account reconciliations; take ownership of accounting for certain areas of the GL and sub-ledgers
Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
Assist with the preparation of monthly management despots and the accompanying schedules and narratives, including budget vs. actual variance reports and subsequent explanation of significant variances
Identify process improvement opportunities on an ongoing basis
Lead and participate in departmental projects and processes Key Metrics & Responsibilities
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Required

BA or BS required; Accounting or Finance degree preferred
1-4 years of overall general accounting experience
Fluency with financial statement preparation and consolidation
Account analysis and reconciliations
Cash flow analysis
Budgets and forecasting
Audit preparation
Internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented, with the ability to produce high-quality work in a deadline-oriented environment
Ability to multitask
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Process improvement and project management minded
Experience working in a work schedule environment, including in-office operation, weekends, and holidays, based on business need

Preferred

Corporate accounting experience
Experience with MRI
Experience with financial controls and auditing processes
Knowledge of fair housing and local real estate laws, where applicable
Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced preferred
