Mid LevelKBH Industrial is seeking a Fabrication Quality Coordinator in their Technical Shared Services, Generation & Transmission Quality Department. The role involves providing technical oversight of heavy mechanical fabrication, ensuring supplier compliance with ASME codes, and contributing to the quality assurance of Generation and Transmission projects.

Responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise in heavy mechanical fabrication and welding processes
Review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure compliance with project specifications
Conduct supplier site visits to monitor fabrication quality and welding practices
Evaluate supplier adherence to ASME Code requirements (Sections I, VIII, IX, and B31.1)
Support Engineering and Procurement teams in supplier selection and performance evaluation
Track and resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Hire and manage 3rd party inspectors to conduct inspections at supplier facilities
Maintain documentation and reporting using MS Word and Excel
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive quality improvements
Support or lead inspections and audits as needed
Qualification
Required
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or NBIC Certification
Hands-on experience in fabrication shops or field erection
General knowledge of generation plant equipment and systems
Knowledge of heavy mechanical fabrication for boilers and pressure vessels
Proficiency in welding processes: GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, SAW
Familiarity with ASME Code Sections I, VIII, IX, and B31.1
Ability to review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and add appropriate owner witness and hold points
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
