The role involves identifying gaps in systems, leading initiatives for data migration, and providing documentation to support decisions while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and engineering of an organization's cloud computing infrastructure and applications
Designs cloud-based hardware and software solutions. Expertise in standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technologies
Demonstrates expertise in wide variety of Cloud models such as Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
Synthesizes architecture guidelines and strategies from a broad stakeholder set to transform logical models into physical architectures, designs and implementations
Designing and addressing key architecture considerations for cloud systems
Resolving issues regarding technology components responsible for performing functional capabilities, or determining how technologies will communicate when responsibility must be shared across technologies; and
Publishing, updating and ensuring that the architecture models meet business requirements and architecture standards
Practitioner of systems development processes and methodologies
Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional, multi-Service Provider work teams
Familiarity with relational database technologies and capabilities
Knowledge of relevant industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters
Ability to justify project, equipment or staffing expenditures by identifying, cost, benefits and associated risks
Special contextual knowledge of implementation designs and the cost modeling associate with developing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models
Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner
Ability to think critically; to recognize and anticipate a problem (technical, operational, process, organizational) and to identify and implement the best solution in a timely manner
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
Knowledge and understanding of marketplace experience, developments and trends related to the Information Technology function
Experience with scalability and performance issues related data bases
Qualification
Required
Self-starter for a very large modernization effort moving from legacy systems to Microsoft Power Platform
Strong ability to identify gaps in systems and recommend a path to move forward
Provide documentation to support decisions
Work with teams as lead to map out data between legacy systems and future system
Determine Systems Gaps (Data Gaps) between the new CITS system and legacy systems
Understanding ownership between legacy systems and future system data
Define process for data that is not targeted to continue effectively for customer
Understanding of programming at an enterprise level
Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking abilities
Database knowledge, understand relationships, data types, data mapping
Strong ability to be self-starter in documentation with ability to deliver to management for decisions and collaboration
Experience in Microsoft Power Platform

Undergraduate degree required with an information technology focus (preferred) and at least Ten (10) years of experience in technical roles in technically complex environments
Or an MBA or advanced degree and at least 8 years of experience in technical roles in technically complex environments
At least 2 years of experience as a technical cloud architect and/or technical cloud lead
Preferred
Home office Huntsville TX, may work remotely but would need capability to report to office with advanced notice
Industry Certifications in an area of expertise preferred
Past governmental modernization experience preferred
