U.S. Policy and Regulation Analyst

AIMA, the global trade association for the alternative investment management industry, is hiring an entry-level Policy and Regulation Analyst to support its U.S. Government and Regulatory Affairs work. The role involves managing AIMA’s Regulatory Horizon Scan, supporting member working groups, and enhancing team output through digital channels, while providing exposure to U.S. financial regulation and policy work.

Responsibilities

Manage and improve AIMA’s Regulatory Horizon Scan
Summarize proposed and final regulations for members and work with the team to answer their questions
Share updates through the website, social media and member communications
Capture insights from meetings with agencies, policymakers and member groups
Conduct research to support U.S. regulatory responses
Coordinate with AIMA’s global offices; some travel required

Required

Strong autonomy, initiative, intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn about complex regulatory issues impacting hedge, private credit and digital assets funds and communicate AIMA's positions clearly
Manage and improve AIMA's Regulatory Horizon Scan
Summarize proposed and final regulations for members and work with the team to answer their questions
Share updates through the website, social media and member communications
Capture insights from meetings with agencies, policymakers and member groups
Conduct research to support U.S. regulatory responses
Coordinate with AIMA's global offices; some travel required
Strong technology and social media skills (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop/InDesign, HTML, AI tools, X, LinkedIn) to visualize and share information
Excellent writing, editing, and research abilities. AI can be used as a tool when appropriate, but it is important to be able to manually summarize meetings where transcription is not permitted
Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information
Ability to represent the association in a professional manner when taking part in meetings with senior stakeholders or attending events
Strong organizational and project‑management skills
Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and thrive in a small team
