Responsibilities
Develop new products and enhance existing designs to meet performance and quality objectives
Create and maintain 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and production documentation
Evaluate production costs and implement design improvements to streamline manufacturability
Manage multiple engineering projects from concept through production release
Support manufacturing teams by addressing real-time production or assembly challenges
Identify opportunities to improve product safety, performance, longevity, and profitability
Collaborate across engineering, sales, and manufacturing groups to align design requirements and project goals
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or mechanical engineering environment
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (5+ years) with expertise in parametric and bottom-up modeling
Hands-on experience with part measurement, inspection, and reverse engineering
Understanding of machining, welding, fabrication, sheet metal, and general shop practices
Ability to design components and assemblies optimized for manufacturability and serviceability
Effective communication skills for working with production teams, suppliers, and cross-functional groups
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
Strong foundation in machine structures, mechanical mechanisms, and industrial manufacturing processes
Advanced 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks required)
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems is an added advantage
Preferred
Experience with SolidWorks surfacing and sheet metal design
Knowledge of welding processes, tooling design, and fixture development
Basic understanding of electrical systems or wiring harnesses
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
