Senior Accountant

They are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and support financial compliance in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Responsibilities
Execute month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for US and foreign subsidiaries, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely
Own the end-to-end accrual process, including the calculation and documentation of complex operational accruals to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct period
Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and foreign currency revaluations to support the global consolidation process
Own the recording of payroll journal entries for US and international employees, ensuring accurate classification of wages, taxes, benefits, and commissions
Manage cash-related transactions, including daily bank activity monitoring, bank reconciliations across multiple currencies, and coordinating with treasury/finance partners
Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset schedules and prepaid expense amortizations
Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for the annual external audit and tax filings
Identify and implement ways to automate manual tasks and streamline the close cycle using NetSuite and other tools
Maintain a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying workflow bottlenecks and suggesting solutions to enhance the speed and quality of the monthly close
Ensure adherence to internal controls and assist in maintaining formal accounting policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
Solid understanding of US GAAP and experience with multi-currency, multi-entity accounting environments
Proficiency in NetSuite is highly preferred
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation) are required
High level of accuracy and a 'pride of ownership' over the numbers, particularly regarding payroll accuracy and complex accrual estimates
Ability to communicate clearly with team members and explain variances or accounting treatments effectively
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Preferred
CPA or active CPA candidate preferred
Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting audit experience is a significant plus
Experience with FloQast or similar close-management software is a plus
