Social Account Director

Responsibilities

Act as the core point of escalation between clients and the agency, understanding their objectives, challenges, and brand voice
Collaborate with clients to identify emerging trends, content opportunities, and innovative approaches to engage their audience
Lead regular communication with clients, providing updates on campaign progress, performance metrics, and strategic insights, with the support of an Account Manager
Proactively address client concerns, provide solutions to challenges, and ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables
Cultivate strong, long-lasting client relationships built on trust, transparency, and exceptional service delivery
Identify opportunities for account growth and upsell additional services to existing clients
Commercial awareness: delivering pricing documents for existing and new clients
Develop and execute comprehensive content marketing strategies tailored to meet client goals and resonate with target audiences
Lead the planning and execution of content marketing campaigns, overseeing all aspects from concept development to final delivery
Conduct content audits, market research, and competitor analysis to inform content strategy development and identify gaps and opportunities
Oversee the development of content calendars, editorial plans, and content briefs that align with client objectives, brand guidelines, and audience preferences
Provide strategic guidance on content formats, distribution channels, and messaging strategies to maximize audience engagement and campaign effectiveness
Coordinate with internal creative, production, paid media, and strategy teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of content assets
Monitor performance metrics, analyze data insights, and provide strategic recommendations for optimization and improvement
Line manage a team of 1-2 Account Managers
Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing among cross-functional teams
Provide guidance and mentorship to your client services team members, empowering their professional growth and development
Collaborate with our Managing Partner to refine processes, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement across the agency
Collaborate with the business development team on new business opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to support pitches and proposals

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
Proven experience (5-8+ years) in account management, client services, or content strategy role within a digital agency or social agency, with a focus on social media marketing
In-depth understanding of content marketing principles, social media platforms, and digital analytics
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas, communicate campaign performance, and build rapport with clients, with the ability to tailor communications and style to different stakeholders and personality types
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and campaign optimization
Proficiency in project management tools

Preferred

MBA or advanced degree is a plus
Certification in content marketing or related areas is a plus
