Avionics Tools Engineering Project Leader

This role involves providing leadership and technical direction for multiple software development projects, managing project schedules, and ensuring quality product delivery within budget.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership and technical direction to large teams for multiple software development projects with significant business impact
Establish plans for projects, define objectives, identify engineering resources, and manage costs
Manage the project schedules, provide reports to customers and modify plans as required
Act as a CAM for Cost Plus programs implementing certified EVMS
Provide oversight of design practices and standards
Effectively communicate with customers and program managers to assure a quality product is delivered on time and within budget
Effectively apply Project Management Professional (PMP) principles and standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in from an accredited university or college
Five years of experience leading software teams supporting external and internal customers
This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status
Experience with engineering processes including: Requirements definition, allocation, validation, verification, Software development and integration, EVMS
Preferred
Three years of experience in software development
Experience leading in a matrix organization
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
PMP certification
Simulation Development experience
FAA / EASA / NAA certification
