Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end weekly payroll processing for multiple companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
Oversee and validate all payroll adjustments, including earnings, deductions, retroactive changes, and corrections, before confirming payroll
Monitor, balance, and troubleshoot inbound and outbound payroll file feeds, including any interface files, to maintain seamless data flow
Supervise daily off-cycle and final payment processing, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
Interpret federal, state, and local guidelines for tax withholdings, garnishments, FLSA calculations, relocation payments, stock transactions, and other imputed income items
Assist the Payroll Manager with auditing, balancing, and reconciling quarterly and annual payroll reports to support compliance and accurate tax filings
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to payroll team members
Serve as a subject matter expert to business partners, offering guidance on payroll policies, procedures, and complex issue resolution
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities

Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Expertise in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payroll processes, tax reviews, and other assigned projects as needed
Ability to audit, reconcile, and balance payroll reports to support accurate tax filings and compliance requirements
Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills, with the ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as reports, procedure manuals and tax laws
Provides daily guidance, coaching, and support to payroll team members, fostering accountability, accuracy, and efficiency
Serves as a subject matter expert to business partners, explaining payroll policies, procedures, and complex issues in a clear and actionable way
Preferred
Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Experience with payroll operations such as Oracle HCM
Strong Excel and Word proficiency
