Responsibilities
Complete daily work orders related to:
HVAC
Electrical
Plumbing
Respond to service calls on the floor in a timely and professional manner
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and emergency repairs as needed
Monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, structural, roofing, painting, and control systems
Ensure all building systems operate efficiently and in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company directives
Support and maintain an energy management program to optimize system performance
Assist in implementing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building equipment
Conduct inspections of building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) to ensure systems operate within design specifications and meet client environmental requirements
Follow departmental policies for the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Apply in-depth technical knowledge to resolve complex issues and develop innovative solutions
Coach and support team members by sharing technical expertise and best practices
Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with values
Communicate clearly and professionally, including explaining complex or sensitive information
Work collaboratively across teams to support operational and service goals
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED (trade school diploma preferred)
4–5 years of relevant building engineering or facilities maintenance experience
HVAC systems
Electrical systems
Plumbing systems
Ability to read and understand work orders and maintenance documentation
Experience using work order management systems (preferred)
Comfortable using tablets and basic technology in a maintenance environment
Ability to exercise sound judgment based on multiple sources of information
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive, problem-solving mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with work order systems
Basic to advanced math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and other job-related figures
Preferred
EPA 608 Universal CFC Certification
Certifications or licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions
Prior shift management or supervisory experience
Previous experience working in a call center or customer-facing service environment
