Responsibilities
Boots-on-the-Ground Storytelling: Identify "human-centered" narratives-from "A Day in the Life" features to the progress of our massive new leach facilities
Full-Cycle Production: Own the entire creative process-storyboarding, field shooting (video/stills), audio/lighting setup, and high-end editing
Independent Reporting: Act as the sole communications lead on-site. You'll extract compelling narratives from technical staff and site workers who might be camera-shy
Strategic Insights: Monitor industry trends and media coverage to provide actionable research to senior leadership
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Health & Safety, Legal, and Sustainability teams to document critical site milestones
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere/Creative Suite and a portfolio that shows real storytelling over glossy corporate commercials
A former news reporter, military public affairs specialist, or field journalist who thrives in rural, industrial environments
You don't need a producer. You are comfortable hauling your own gear and working under minimal supervision
High School/GED + 11 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree (Journalism/Comms) + 7 years of experience; OR Master's Degree + 5 years of experience
