Responsibilities

Strategically assess assigned markets and collaborate with Business Development and Sales Leadership to prioritize high-value accounts and opportunities
Identify, map, and prioritize large-scale infrastructure projects with strong potential to progress from FEED into EPC execution
Develop and maintain deep expertise in:
Our clients products, applications, and value propositions
Industry specifications, including structure, intent, and technical language
Competitive solutions, market positioning, and differentiation
Proactively source and qualify new business opportunities through networking, targeted outreach, and industry engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Chief Engineers, Mechanical Managers, Estimating Managers, and Project Directors within the energy sector
Leverage strategic relationship-building to gather market intelligence and influence project direction
Develop and execute annual business plans focused on expanding influence within assigned owner, engineering, procurement, and construction accounts
Drive specification adoption by influencing owner standards, master specifications, and project-specific documents
Deliver high-impact technical presentations and product demonstrations to owners, engineers, and EPC firms
Manage opportunities from early design influence through project handoff to execution teams, ensuring continuity and alignment
Partner with execution teams to support pricing strategy, delivery planning, and installation considerations
Ensure a smooth transition from business development to execution, maintaining customer confidence and satisfaction
Utilize Salesforce to accurately capture, manage, and communicate account and project activity
Provide regular updates to Sales Leadership on pipeline status, key wins, risks, and growth opportunities
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, or infrastructure-related sales
Proven track record of success in complex, consultative sales and business development environments
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to write, interpret, and influence engineering design specifications
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a high-performing team
High learning agility, creativity, and problem-solving capability
Strong organizational and time-management skills; comfortable working in a virtual or field-based environment
Resilient, adaptable, and driven with a collaborative mindset
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Willingness to travel overnight as required by territory demands

Preferred

PE license or degree in Construction Management strongly preferred
Prior experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within the construction or engineering industry preferred
