Responsibilities
Contact customer for collection of payment for services or goods rendered - main responsibility
Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, service departments, and from customers
Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
Resolves collections by contacting customers in writing and verbally
Keeps detailed records and status of customer accounts
Sends out monthly reminders to customers of account balances
Contacts and follows up with outside collections resources on delinquent accounts
Sends internal reports daily on monies received
Resolves all billing inquires
Deposits all check payments/Cash payments
Handles all Accounts Receivable inquires
Inputs new customers into the company’s software system
Monitor customer credit lines
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in billing, customer service, or other related fields
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Strong attention to detail
