Responsibilities

Lays out project work and ensures that materials, tools, equipment, etc. are scheduled in a timely manner to meet scope, budget, and project construction schedules
Executes and makes changes to subcontracts
Initiates change order requests as needed
Monitors project worksite for any potential safety hazards and ensure that all work is completed with zero accidents
Coordinates with client operations personnel and project management to ensure compliance with Owner’s security, safety, and access procedures to projects sites
Communicates with project team regarding design changes, RFI’s, and material submittals
Schedules and participates in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations and organizes final inspections for completed work
Prepares daily log reports for sites conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail
Collaborates with the project manager and site operations team throughout the life of the project
Reviews and approves T&M tickets
Manages punch list with the onsite superintendent
Oversees subcontractor foreman meetings
Reviews and approves subcontractor invoices
Accountable for on-site supervision of assigned construction projects, trade contractors, and field personnel, in such a way as to ensure scheduled completion of projects within established budget, timeframe, quality and performance standards, and customer/client satisfaction
Assists with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
Conducts annual performance evaluations
Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment
Completes weekly project status reports for the Director of Project Management
Maintains staffing reports and updates to be proactive with assigning superintendent to future projects
Attends weekly status reports with the Director
Attends all project pre kick off and closeout meetings

Required

High School Diploma or GED
8 years as a Project Superintendent

10-15 years a Superintendent
