Responsibilities

Serve as enterprise system owner for the AI-powered learning platform (i.e. Sana, Docebo, Absorb), handling performance, upgrades, vendor coordination, and system usage education
Lead the strategy for functional system settings, integrations and workflows to support evolving L&D strategies and compliance requirements
Serve as the global lead for resolving platform issues, ensuring learner impact is minimized through effective coordination with support teams
Establish systems and tools to supervise platform usage data and recommend enhancements through organizational change processes
Develop and implement the hosting and eLearning technical standards portion of the content management strategy for global and business learning content
Partner with IT, GLCS and Business L&D to guide decisions and establish requirements for content hosting, system and partner integrations and troubleshooting
Define learning platform standards for content formats (e.g., SCORM, xAPI), accessibility, and hosting
Ensure content is organized on servers, aligned with technical standards, and optimized for global use based on storage and access, as well as handled according to global records retention requirements
Guide L&D teams on eLearning technical standards and platform capabilities
Author and maintain guidelines and job aids for hosting and eLearning standards supporting content development and deployment
Collaborate with IT, HR, vendors, and L&D teams to align platform initiatives with business needs
Coordinate collaborator input for system enhancements and process improvements, including the SuccessFactors LMS and the Global Learning Content Services team
Ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems and data flows
Represent global business needs in platform decisions and strategy
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance learner experience and platform effectiveness
Ensure consistent standards and scalable solutions across regions
Conduct ongoing external benchmarking and market scanning to stay apprised of emerging learning technologies, AI capabilities, and industry protocols, ensuring Lilly’s learning ecosystem remains innovative, driven, and future‑ready

Required

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Information Systems, Learning & Development, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience leading enterprise learning technologies (e.g., LMS, LXP, or AI‑enabled learning platforms such as Sana, Docebo, Cornerstone)
3 years plus SCORM, xAPI, and digital accessibility standards experience
Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role

Preferred

Demonstrated experience with data & analytics and practical application of generative AI in learning platforms, content workflows, or learner experience design
Experience supporting enterprise system integrations and understanding data privacy/compliance requirements
Strong solid understanding of SCORM, xAPI, and digital accessibility standards
Ability to lead or support system functionality, upgrades, troubleshooting, and global operations for learning platforms
Shown success facilitating multi-functional teamwork across IT, HR, vendors, and L&D teams
Strong project leadership and the ability to influence without direct authority in sophisticated, global environments
Master's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Science, Information Systems, AI/Analytics, or a related field
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPTD, PMP, Prosci, ID certifications, AI/analytics certificates)
Experience leading implementation of new or emerging AI‑powered learning platforms
Familiarity with learning data ecosystems (LRS environments, Power BI dashboards, xAPI analytics, metadata and taxonomy use)
Experience designing or governing content across multi‑platform learning ecosystems
Expertise in building or accomplishing content governance models, global standards, metadata frameworks, and content retention strategies
Experience driving enterprise wide‑ organizational change for platform or process rollouts
Experience working within global organizations, supporting enterprise wide‑ initiatives across multiple regions
Strong vendor leadership skills, including oversight of SLAs, performance, and capability roadmaps
Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value, influencing strategy and decision making‑ across functions
Skill in benchmarking and external market scanning to guide platform strategy and ensure innovation readiness
Outstanding communication skills to guide collaborators, share recommendations, and support business alignment
