Staff Procurement Expeditor

They are seeking a Staff Procurement Expeditor who will ensure the timely flow of materials and technical information necessary for manufacturing and engineering programs, while also coordinating between various teams to prevent delays and maintain compliance with standards.

Responsibilities
Monitor and track the status of components, hardware, and materials to ensure on-time delivery for production and engineering programs
Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to resolve delays, shortages, or disruptions
Review purchase orders, bills of material (BOMs), and production schedules to identify risks to program timelines
Expedite critical path items and escalate issues that may impact aircraft build schedules, testing, or certification milestones
Maintain accurate documentation of order status, delivery forecasts, and supplier communications
Serve as a communication bridge between engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, and external suppliers
Interpret and relay engineering drawings, specifications, and change notices (ECNs/ECRs) to ensure supplier understanding and compliance
Support resolution of technical issues such as non-conformances, spec deviations, or documentation gaps
Participate in technical reviews, supplier meetings, and program status updates
Ensure all materials and components are accompanied by required aerospace documentation (e.g., Certificates of Conformance, material certs, test reports)
Track and manage documentation related to engineering changes, supplier corrective actions, and quality notifications
Support audits and compliance activities as required
Identify supply chain bottlenecks and propose process improvements to enhance delivery performance
Prepare regular status reports for program managers, engineering leads, and supply chain leadership
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with aerospace quality and regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
Ability to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail
U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility
Successful passage of a criminal background screen is required to meet position eligibility
Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a technical field preferred
Experience in aerospace manufacturing, engineering support, supply chain, or technical coordination strongly preferred
Familiarity with AS9100, FAR regulations, DoD requirements, or other aerospace standards
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Cost Point)
