5+ years expBass Pro Shops is seeking a passionate and customer-focused retail operations leader to join as a Regional Director for their Mountain West region. The Regional Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of a group of stores, ensuring financial plans are met and customer service standards are upheld.

Responsibilities
Directly supervises the Store Managers and indirectly all other Managers in the Stores within group
Works directly with the stores and merchants to develop and maintain proper merchandise assortments, that properly reflect regional and local customer demands
Assists with the selection of advertised product
Develops and executes annual financial plans for sales, gross margin, operating expenses, and net income for each store
Meets or exceeds financial plans as set by the Company through analysis of business trends, timely communications to the stores, regional meetings, conference calls, store visits, etc
Develops customer service programs that enhance customer experience
Works with stores to ensure all customers opportunities are resolved
Ensures that stores maintain clean, organized, and safe environment for all associates and customers
Ensure that stores maintain building facility and all equipment and that safety controls are in place in each store
Works with Human Resources to source, recruit, hire, develop and train high level management associates to fill vacancies and to provide candidates for the future growth of the Company
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training, planning, assigning, and directing work; measuring and evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Coordinate communication with info systems to develop and prioritize projects to improve store productivity and customer service. Other duties as assigned. Member of Facilities Governance Committee and responsible for Basic store standards
Visiting stores within region multiple times per year as needed, resulting in overnight travel of 3 nights per week

Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5+ years in high volume, 'big box' Manager or Multi Store Retail management
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this position
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret a variety of other financial, legal, and technical information
Ability to read and analyze certain reports
Ability to write reports and business correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, associates, customers, and the public
Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups
Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, customers and with the Corporate Staff
Demonstrated use of Team concept of Management
