Responsibilities
Operate Electrical Dredge and Booster at maximum operational capacity
Oversee extraction, processing, storage, and shipping of aggregates
Perform routine maintenance on dredging equipment (greasing, pre-shift inspections, hydraulic/fluid checks, cable and flotation inspections)
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement timely solutions
Maintain accurate records of quarry activities and complete safety reports
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, both verbally and via two-way radio
Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies
Support general quarry operations, including use of haul trucks, loaders, and other equipment as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum 3 years of dredge operations experience, preferably with cutter head style dredges
Experience in dredge-related maintenance, including hydraulics, pumps, and electrical systems
Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of safety regulations, including MSHA standards
Ability to troubleshoot problems, prioritize tasks, and work independently
Willingness to work overtime and weekends
Safety-oriented with strong work habits
Must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved PPE, including respirators where required
