Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of Billing, Cash Application, and Collections
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex AR, billing, and client account issues
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant invoice generation across all service lines
Oversee collections strategy, AR aging, and escalation protocols
Ensure all incoming payments are accurately applied and accounts remain audit-ready
Build, maintain, and review AR dashboards and reporting (aging, trends, risk areas)
Establish, document, and enforce AR and billing policies, procedures, and controls
Identify process gaps, root causes of errors, and opportunities for improvement
Train, coach, and manage AR team members; conduct regular check-ins and reviews
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Scheduling, Production, and Finance
Support month-end close with clean reconciliations and documentation
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Finance operations
2+ years of experience leading or managing AR, Billing, or Finance teams
Strong understanding of billing execution, collections, and cash application
Highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable enforcing standards
Calm, structured leader with strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and billing/accounting systems
Ability to build reporting and controls beyond out-of-the-box tools
Preferred
Experience in professional services or legal services environments strongly preferred
