Maintenance Mechanic I- 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
Performs daily maintenance of production equipment, working from the preventative maintenance (PM) program, written and verbal instructions, sketches, etc. Assists with work orders for computer numerical control (CNC) and high-speed automation machines, compressors and conveyors
Oils, greases and cleans machines as needed
Performs preventative maintenance (PM) including inspecting machines and replacing any components as needed based on the PM work orders
Assists in running CNC controls and jogging machines with precision measuring instruments
Uses precision gauges, such as micrometers and dial indicators, and common hand and power tools, such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc
Assists in installation of new equipment and machinery to improve production processes
Lifts and moves material in difficult work positions
Uses computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to input data, document workflows and variations in machines and PM breakdowns, modifications and installations
Documents all work performed and parts used, including part numbers, on machinery in the CMMS, regardless of how minor the repair/fix
Reports needed parts to Team Lead or Supervisor
Follows all safety rules and regulations and reports potentially unsafe conditions
Uses equipment and materials properly and follows Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition
Performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain forklift certification
2+ years of experience in machinery maintenance in a manufacturing environment
Experience with effective documentation of work detail data into a computerized system
Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively communicate and function as a team member
Moderate physical activity and manual dexterity with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
Good verbal and written communication skills
