Senior Analyst, Corporate Acquisition and Divestiture Accounting

Eaton’s Corporate Sector is seeking a dynamic Senior Analyst, Corporate Acquisition and Divestiture Accounting to join their innovative team at their North American HQ in Beachwood, OH. In this role, you will spearhead the analysis and financial due diligence of global acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring seamless integration and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform buy-side and sell-side due diligence on divestitures, acquisitions, and strategic investment targets, focusing on quality of earnings, net working capital, debt considerations, and financial reporting
Liaise with third-party diligence firms, communicate key findings to Strategy & Corporate Development and Legal Teams, and support finance integration efforts
Conduct annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment testing, purchase accounting and the related valuation of fixed and intangible assets, and divestiture accounting support

Required

Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required
Minimum three (3) years of Accounting / Finance Experience
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Up to 10% travel is required for this position
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Strong leadership skills and technical accounting experience
Strategic and analytical thinking
Ability to express complex concepts in simple, easy-to-grasp ways, both verbally and in writing
Curiosity and the ability to challenge the status quo
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Drive for results
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and multi-task to resolve issues and make decisions with minimal supervision
Ability to work easily with a diverse set of people to achieve goals collaboratively
Working knowledge of financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, and FCCS
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications

Preferred

Prior M&A accounting or due diligence experience
Master's Degree from an accredited institution
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a plus
