Regional Admissions Recruiter – Kansas City
The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Senior Student Recruitment Specialist to support their admissions efforts. This role involves managing recruitment territories, building relationships with high school counselors, and engaging prospective students and families about Mizzou's academic programs and campus life.

Responsibilities
Independently managing your own recruitment territory. This includes building and executing a dynamic recruitment plan that blends proven tactics with creative outreach tailored to the market as well as reviewing and analyzing data to determine fairs and events to attend and which schools to visit. You will build a comprehensive plan to visit high schools, make travel arrangements and conduct visits
Cultivating strong relationships with high school counselors
Tracking interactions and analyze data in Slate CRM, adjusting strategy based on successful programs and where new opportunities emerge
Working with Admissions leadership and marketing to design campaigns that resonate in the market for families
Engaging and collaborating with alumni chapters in the market to strengthen their involvement in recruitment activities and enhance the university's presence
Help plan and host special recruitment events for prospective students within the market. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni, to coordinate logistics
Informing prospective students and their parents about Mizzou’s academic programs, requirements and life on campus which will include attending on and off campus programs
Communicating with prospective students, parents and high school counselors and presenting to groups ranging from 20-300 people
Building relationships with prospective students and their families to share the Mizzou experience
Traveling to Mizzou’s campus for large recruitment events (for example, Saturday Meet Mizzou Days) and training sessions. Some additional overnight travel to other parts of the country may also be required
Utilizing Slate CRM to track prospects and applicants in your territory and bring new ideas to the table to increase outreach
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired
Preferred
Enthusiastic candidates who work well independently as well as in a team
Experience presenting to groups of 50 or more individuals
Recruitment experience in the greater Kansas City market
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously
Highly organized, detail-oriented and adaptable to change given the nature of the position
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and/or CRMs, including Slate
Knowledge of the University of Missouri campus and programs
