Peptide Technician

Responsibilities
Executing and optimizing solid phase peptide synthesis conditions
Daily operation and maintenance of a series of automated peptide synthesizers
Performing reverse-phase HPLC to analyze and purify peptide products on Agilent LC/MS machines
Performing analytical methods to quantify peptide products
Interfacing with lab members and collaborators
Peptide database maintenance
Ensuring compound quality control and timely delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
Experience in an academic or industrial laboratory setting, with small molecule or peptide synthesis experience a plus
Experience with peptide purification and analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, MS)
Familiarity with laboratory automation platforms and instrumentation
Experience maintaining SOPs and contributing to process optimization
Knowledge of information and techniques related to either biology, chemistry, or medicine is preferred
Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to work with a wide variety of faculty and staff
Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems
Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks
Ability to work within a team environment
