Responsibilities

Writes high-quality Python code for front-office Technology Systems
Collaborates closely with Traders and Quantitative Researchers to deliver solutions that enhance trading and execution workflows
Creates alignment with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Proficient hands-on coding experience in Python
In-depth knowledge of Capital Markets and Equity Market Microstructure
Strong knowledge of electronic trading workflows across pre-trade analytics, signal generation, execution algorithms and post-trade analysis
Demonstrated experience applying analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
Proficient in translating business and quant requirements into scalable target architectures and implementation roadmaps
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Preferred

Hands on experience in Quantitative Trading and/or Market Analysis
Familiarity and prior experience on KDB/q will be beneficial
Knowledge of FIX, Market Data, Order Management Systems
Prior experience with SecDB / Athena / Quartz platforms
Data streaming knowledge on frameworks like Kafka, AMPS
