Senior Manager, Procurement

Cuisine Solutions is looking for a Senior Manager in Procurement to enhance business processes and systems related to the Purchasing supply chain. The role involves developing improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies and collaborating with various departments to align category strategies with business goals.

Food Processing

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of category strategies for key raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend to support business growth and cost optimization
Conduct comprehensive category spend analysis, supplier segmentation, market assessments, and risk evaluations to identify opportunities for value creation
Partner with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance to align category strategies with product formulations, production requirements, food safety standards, and financial goals
Continuously monitor category performance, market trends, and commodity fluctuations to adjust strategies proactively
Primary point of contact for key account suppliers
Provide planning and organization related to new product launches projects
Supplier and RM Setup
Implement Supplier Management system
Implement new ticketing system to track Purchasing requests
Setup SharePoint file management
Improve on existing communication structure
Identify areas of departmental process digitization and partner with IT to implement
Power BI Reporting
Diversity Supplier Reporting
Supplier Performance
Tracking of dry goods
Identify areas of departmental analytics to improve upon and partner with IT to implement
Coaching/Mentoring/Team Building/Training team members on new systems, reporting and SOP's
Identify departmental organizational improvements
Identify staffing and structure needs to support current and future growth
Work with Vincent to hire and train new team members as needed
Document departmental SOP's
Manage Projects and programs related operation and systems improvements
Manage cross-functional IT projects related to supply chain operations and process improvement
Present to, Negotiate, and Influence all levels of the organization from IC to Senior Leadership, across all Organizational Business Units, Functional Teams, and all Stakeholders as needed
Responsible for all Program/Project Management activities to drive, deliver, and sustain all programs/projects that support supply chain operational efficiencies, Purchasing IT Transformation initiatives, and Business Process improvements through Re-Architecture, Re-Engineering, Re-Design, Productivity Improvements, Simplification, and Automation
Identify problems, issues, shortfalls and look to fix them to improve department operational efficiencies
Reduce dry goods footprint and aging
Develop an understanding of purchasing systems and processes to effectively drive improvement programs
Interface with Planning, Logistics, Production, R&D, QA to identify gaps in systems, processes, and communication and work with the various teams to plan and implement operational improvements

Required

Ability to navigate through large complex data sets in PowerBI or other tools
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Project, Planner, Visio, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent listener and interpersonal communicator
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined metrics requirements; demonstrated success is a requirement
Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and utilizing project management applications
Strong propensity for spreadsheets, systems, and processes
Curious personality with a desire to understand 'how things work' and 'how things are related' with the goal of improving and streamlining current methods and processes
Demonstrated analytical skills
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, IT, Business, Finance, or related field

Preferred

Formal training in project management practices
