They are seeking a Junior Account Strategist who will manage media relations and collaborate with various teams to achieve client goals while ensuring timely delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

Build and improve brand awareness through public relations, including media pitching, press strategy, and relationship building with journalists
Build press lists, conduct media research, and pitch stories to relevant outlets
Monitor daily news cycles and media coverage, including the ability to spot opportunities and errors in coverage
Manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines
Communicate day-to-day with client contacts as needed
Collaborate with internal strategists, designers, and founders to achieve account goals
Develop strong working relationships with clients and media contacts
Clearly communicate progress on weekly and monthly goals, internally and externally
Track project status, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time delivery
Demonstrate strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills

Required

1-3 years of experience in PR, communications, account management, or project management
Experience building press lists and conducting media research
Experience with press pitching and working with media contacts (or strong interest in developing this skill)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in client-facing roles and relationship management
Strong understanding of project management processes and best practices
Excellent time management and organizational skills
High level of collaboration and ability to work across teams
Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills

Preferred

Experience working with distributed or remote teams is a plus
