Responsibilities
Review reimbursement requests and financial transactions for accuracy
Reconcile expenditures and payments within ERP/accounting systems
Prepare and analyze complex financial reports and statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and funding guidelines
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Perform account reconciliations and month-end close activities
Assist with federal expenditure and grant-related reporting
Act as liaison during audits and compliance reviews
Maintain documentation and supporting schedules
Provide general accounting support as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
3–5+ years of professional accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
Experience preparing financial reports and reconciliations
Experience using automated AP/AR or ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work onsite five days per week in Sacramento
Preferred
Government, public sector, or grant accounting experience
SAP or similar ERP system experience
Audit or compliance exposure
CPA or other accounting certifications (nice to have)
