Responsibilities
Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow CMDB modules and related applications to meet organizational requirements
Lead the implementation of CMDB data models, including CI (Configuration Item) class structures, relationships, and attributes
Develop and maintain discovery processes, integrations, and automation for populating and updating the CMDB
Collaborate with IT, business, and application owners to gather requirements and ensure accurate representation of infrastructure and services within the CMDB
Establish and maintain CMDB governance, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and security standards
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMDB data quality, integrations, and ServiceNow functionality
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, process flows, and user guides
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and administrators
Stay updated on ServiceNow platform enhancements, best practices, and industry trends
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
5+ years of experience with ServiceNow development, with at least 2 years focused on CMDB and ITOM (IT Operations Management)
Strong proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide), workflow development, and platform configuration
In-depth understanding of CMDB concepts, data modeling, and ITIL processes
Experience integrating ServiceNow CMDB with discovery tools and external data sources (e.g., SCCM, SolarWinds, AWS, Azure)
Proven ability to develop and implement business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and ServiceNow APIs
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience with ServiceNow modules: ITOM, Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping
Knowledge of infrastructure technologies (servers, networks, cloud platforms)
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong documentation and presentation skills
Preferred
ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in CMDB or ITOM are highly desirable
