Engineering / building science degree or equivalent
Comprehensive knowledge of estimating systems (off the shelf and home grown) and procedures
20+ years of experience in heavy industrial estimating (process, pulp & power, power, etc) with a major EPC company
10+ years of field experience in the estimating / project controls arena
Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization – from field craft to the President of the company
Cooperative attitude, but still be able to express concerns/disagreements in a professional manner
Track record with managing a group of type “A” personalities, some of which will be in satellite locations
Willingness to mentor less experienced members of the team
Knowledge of the interfaces between Estimating and Cost Engineering and Planning/Scheduling
Willing to travel to job assignments, both short term and long term
