Responsibilities
You will act as lead writer for feature and impact stories
You will act as editor for communication pieces originating on other teams
You will support the development and refinement of core messaging, as well as a Center-specific storytelling approach/lens
You will maintain writing style guides & list of usage org-wide conventions for non-comms staff
You will schedule and manage content on the Center’s platforms, including website, enews, and social media
Qualification
Required
Three years' of non-profit and/or communications experience
Demonstrably excellent narrative, expository/descriptive, and persuasive writing skills, with a strong eye for flow, readability, clarity, and grammar
Excellent editorial skills, supporting others' messages to come through on the page
Excellent organizational skills, You have an ability to hold the 'big picture' but also have an affinity for the details
The ability to manage multiple priorities, and work gracefully and collaboratively under pressure
Direct knowledge of living and working in rural communities
Preferred
Spanish language skills/proficiency an advantage
