Responsibilities
Develops, designs, and communicates manufacturing processes
Monitors and revises processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process
Participates in design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products
Responsible for the activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision making tools
Identifies and solves issues or problems with equipment/process
Troubleshoots possible causes and coordinates the activities of maintenance, production and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions
Provides coordination of new process installation and process changes
Other projects/duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Develop and design manufacturing processes
Monitor and revise/optimize processes to generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of the product and/or process
Develops, designs, and communicates manufacturing processes
Uses SOLIDWORKS to design new tooling/processes or repair/modify existing machines/processes
Identify and solve issues with processes and equipment
Troubleshoot possible causes and coordinate the activities of maintenance, production and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions
Manage capital project activity for the specification and installation of new equipment
Own change management projects to drive process improvement
Participates in design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products
Responsible for the activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision making tools
Identifies and solves issues or problems with equipment/process
Provides coordination of new process installation and process changes
Must be able to work in laboratory, plant and processing environments
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear
Occasionally required to sit
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, and ability to differentiate color
Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, face shield, hearing protection, gloves, aprons, etc
Occasionally work in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is loud
The individual will be required to work extensively at a computer screen and will, at times, sit at a desk for extended periods
Must be able to travel by car and/or airplane
