Lead Artist PrePress Media Specialist
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a Lead Artist/Prepress Media Specialist in their Print Shop. This role involves producing artwork and proofs for various print materials, ensuring compliance with branding guidelines, and providing technical support to customers.

Responsibilities
Produce layouts and proofs for stationery, business cards, forms, etc
Checks, edits, and prints research posters with the correct size, branding, layout, etc
Produces and edits technical and scientific illustrations for publication
Prepares estimates and advises customers concerning job specifications and deadlines
Inspects incoming jobs and artwork for branding guidelines and PAN compliance
Requests and compares quotes from outside print vendors
Monitors and maintains customer file archives on the Graphics server
Performs job data entry into the Printing Services database for new and completed print jobs
Packages completed material for delivery; makes deliveries when needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
One (1) year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; OR a combination of education and experience to equal five (5) years
Must have a valid Driver's License
Knowledge of Adobe Design software, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop
Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Publisher
Ability to operate digital production color and B&W printers, envelope press, large format printer and paper trimmer
Knowledge of digital and offset printing
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must have a strong sense of urgency
Good math skills, fractions, and percentages are necessary for placement and scale of graphics
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work under minimal supervision
