Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer

Technical-Link N. America is seeking an experienced PCB Designer with strong OrCAD and RF layout expertise to support advanced Defense and Department of Defense (DoD) electronic systems. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using OrCAD Capture and PCB Editor (Allegro)
Design complex multi-layer PCBs supporting RF, high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics
Implement RF layout best practices including impedance control, grounding, shielding, isolation, and matching networks
Collaborate with RF, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers throughout the product lifecycle
Define stack-ups, controlled impedance traces, and material selections for high-frequency designs
Ensure designs meet DFM/DFA/DFT requirements and are producible at approved defense manufacturers
Create and release fabrication, assembly, and test documentation (Gerbers/ODB++, drill files, BOMs, drawings)
Support prototype bring-up, debug, ECOs, and design updates
Participate in design reviews, peer reviews, and formal program milestones
Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, MIL-STD, and IPC standards

Required

5+ years of experience in PCB schematic capture and layout
Advanced proficiency with OrCAD Capture and Allegro PCB Editor
Hands-on experience with RF PCB layout (hundreds of MHz to multi-GHz designs)
Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC mitigation
Experience with controlled-impedance routing and high-speed interfaces
Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-6012)
Ability to work in secure, process-driven defense environments

Preferred

Experience supporting DoD or classified programs
Knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, or similar standards
Experience with RF simulation or EM tools (Keysight ADS, HFSS, CST)
Background in radar, EW, SATCOM, avionics, or secure communications
IPC CID or CID+ certification
