Responsibilities
Design, implement, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools
Monitor system performance, identify issues or bottlenecks, and implement improvements to maintain system reliability
Maintain security controls, backup processes, and disaster recovery capabilities to protect systems and data
Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline operations and increase efficiency
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving hardware, software, and network components
Collaborate with development teams, leadership, and other stakeholders to understand system needs and deliver solutions
Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and architecture
Evaluate new and emerging technologies to support system enhancements or future implementations
Qualification
Required
At least two years of experience in a systems engineering or related role
Strong working knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, and virtualization technologies
Experience using scripting or automation tools such as Python
Ability to analyze complex environments and assess technical tradeoffs
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
Must be willing to provide 24/7 on call support
