Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment, as needed. (Equipment usage is determined both by seasonal conditions and by the nature of the project.)
Must be capable of interpreting data contained in various operator's manuals to ensure the limits and capabilities of the equipment operated are not exceeded. Perform minor repairs, services, and cleans equipment in accordance with the operator manual and manufacturer's recommendations to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently
May be required to perform other duties as necessary, including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities
Prior to equipment operation, conduct routine visual/physical safety inspection of equipment, report problems to supervisor/appropriate personnel and/or take necessary corrective action whenever possible
Qualification
Required
No experience or training is required
Class D, Chauffer's License will be required upon appointment for MEO 1
Class A, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) will be required upon appointment for MEO 2 and MEO 1/Heavy
